Welcome to our website! Interested in caving but don't know where to start? Fruitlessly searching for cave locations and maps on the Internet? Come to one of our monthly meetings and search no more! By joining a grotto, you can connect with seasoned enthusiasts who can give you the guidance and knowledge required to stay safe, respect conservation efforts and get started!
Do you wish OTR didn't have to end on Monday? Well this year's September meeting is the day after we break down camp! So come on down and make the party last a little longer with great stories and conversation with friends!

The Northern New Jersey Grotto urges everyone to educate themselves about White-Nose Syndrome (WNS), a deadly disease that is currently effecting the bat populations in the Eastern US. We strongly encourage everyone, including our members, to avoid all caves and mines that harbor hibernating bat populations. Many caves in the Eastern US have been closed in an effort to limit any caver initiated spread of the disease. Please confirm the current access policy before entering any caves, and use the recommended decontamination procedures after your trip.
